'Charles Johnston'Daylily is an outstanding variety that has a rather large number of gorgeous 6 inch very cherry red flowers that are wide, flat and ruffled on a 24 inch scape and can get up to over 50 buds on one scape. As well as an exceptional deep green mounded foliage and a striking greenish-yellow throat. One of the earliest to bloom, it’s definitely a great way to start off your gardening season.

This is a fabulous hemerocallis flowers early, with predictable re-blooming characteristics, too! You get a lot of large flowers on this beautiful perennial plant,  for a long season of blooms. In addition to all of that, it has won numerous awards and it has a fairly fragrant flower.
